This document outlines the technical configurations required from the IT department during the initial onboarding phase.
These are one-time setup items that do not require ongoing maintenance once verified.
1. Domain Verification (mandatory)
To ensure high email deliverability and prevent messages from being filtered as spam, IT needs to verify your email domain. This confirms ownership and grants our platform permission to send emails on your organization's behalf.
IT Task: Add specific DNS records (DKIM, DMARC and SPF) as described on this page.
2. CRM Integration (optional)
Configure a sync between your CRM system and your Envoke account.
Option A: CSV List Automation: Set up an automated daily CSV file upload that Envoke processes overnight. Learn more.
Option A: API Integration: Use the APIs to update contacts. Learn more.
Manual list importing: While usually handled by end-users, IT may be needed initially to define data mapping and export requirements from the internal CRM. Learn more.
3. Single Sign-On (SSO) Configuration (optional)
SSO allows users to log in using their existing organizational credentials enhancing security and simplifying user access.
IT Task: Configure SSO. Learn more.
4. Custom domain for Branding (optional)
Using a custom domain is for branding purposes only, not related to inbox delivery.
If your organization prefers to use a branded URL for links and hosted pages (e.g., communications.yourcompany.com instead of app.envoke.com), IT needs to configure a custom domain.
IT Task: Create a CNAME record in your DNS settings pointing your chosen subdomain to our platform. Learn more.
