This article is part of a series of articles about personalizing emails. You can check out other ways to personalize your messages.
You can add links in email messages that are unique for each contact using custom fields.
This can be used for sending individual promo codes or surveys with unique links or for any other link that needs to be contact specific.
For example:
https://www.mysurvey.com/UNIQUEID
Step 1: Create a custom field that will store the unique text or link.
Step 2: Import data into this field.
Step 3: Add a link or button to your email the same way as you would link to any web page but instead of adding the webpage URL use the following merge field syntax:
{@my-FIELD_NAME}
where FIELD_NAME is the name of your custom field using the exact case sensitive spelling.
