To get the most opens you want to send emails when people read them as the messages arrive in their inboxes and not be buried on page three of the “Monday morning inbox”. If an email is not opened within an hour of landing in an inbox the chances of it ever being opened is very, very low.

The best time to send email campaigns varies greatly by industry. Generally, afternoons are marginally better than mornings and weekdays in general are better than weekends.

Statistically, Tuesday afternoons yield the highest open rates on marketing emails - but not by much. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are also good choices. Emails about vacation ideas and family activities, on the other hand, perform somewhat better on weekends.

The bottom line: Spend some time to get to know your audience to determine when they are most likely to open the email you're sending and take advantage of scheduled email campaigns to send at the right time.

Remember, sending is not instant and you should allow a few hours for all emails to be sent. You can read more about sending speed here.

You can send the campaign right away or schedule it to be sent later by clicking the "send later" link.

Once you're ready to send the message click the Launch Email Campaign button.

Re-sending a message (follow up)

You can resend a message to a single contact after the blast has been sent. Open the sent message and type the email address in the "Send to" field on the editor page. Matching contacts from your database will be shown under the field as you type. Select the contact you wish to re-send the message to and click the Send button.
