The Email Preferences Page is where your contacts can choose the type of content they are interested in, update consent to receive emails, update their profile and language preferences and find out what type of messages they can expect to receive from you and why.
This page is linked from every email you send from Envoke. (Related article: customize the unsubscribe footer in emails.)
Information and options shown on the email preferences page
The email preferences page shows different information and options depending on the type of message it's accessed from by clicking the review email settings or similar link from the footer of emails.
When accessed from a standard, opt-in, message:
Opt-in / consent settings
Subscription options
Custom text (optional)
Profile update (optional)
When accessed from a mandatory message.
This is only applicable if this setting is enabled for your account.
Reason why a mandatory message was sent. This is provided when the mandatory email is sent in the email editor.

Customizing the Email Preferences Page
The Email Preferences Page has its own settings page where you can customize it.
Language
The Email Preferences Page can be bilingual. It appears in either English (by default) or French depending on the language preference of your contacts.
Contacts can update their language preference if the "Allow language preference update" option is enabled.
Branding
You can show your logo and the name of your organization at the top of the Email Preferences Page and update the colours and fonts used throughout the page.
Custom text
You can add custom text that appears on the top of the Email Preferences Page just below your logo and organization name. Here you can explain the communication practices of your organization to provide clarity to your contacts about how and when you send them emails. You can also explain why someone may receive mandatory messages from you, if applicable.
Opt in: confirm or revoke consent to receive emails
Contacts can confirm their consent (provide express consent) or unsubscribe (revoke consent) on this page. You can customize the wording that appears next to these actions. Learn more about consent management.
Subscription options
Subscriptions are how contacts control their content preferences. For example to receive newsletters, updates, event invites, promotional messages, etc. You can manage the list of available subscriptions from the list of subscriptions page.
All contacts can opt in or opt out to any subscription at any time with the exception of private subscriptions. Contacts cannot sign up to subscriptions marked as private on the Email Preferences Page - they can only unsubscribe.

Contact profile update
You can allow contacts to update their contact details on the Email Preferences Page.
Reporting
Changes to consent and subscription preferences are tracked for each contact.
Reason for unsubscribing: When a contact unsubscribes from receiving emails from you they are asked to provide a reason on the unsubscribe confirmation page. Answering this poll is optional.
The consent status overview is available from the reports dashboard.
Preference changes per email campaign are part of the email campaign reports page.
Updates to individual contacts are shown on the contact activity timeline. The timeline shows if consent was updated on the Email Preferences Page.
Sharing a link to the Email Preferences Page
You shouldn't share the link to the preferences page as it's tied to individual contact records. Each contact has to click a link from an email sent to them to access their own preferences page.
Testing
Be sure to re-subscribe yourself after testing the unsubscribe option otherwise you won't be able to send yourself (test) emails.
