Email archives pages grouped by subscription

October 2024

The default email archives page lists all emails you designate to be included on that page regardless of which recipients the emails were sent to.

Separate email archives pages are now available for each subscription list in your account. Messages that were sent to subscription lists will be shown on their respective email archives pages. This allows you to link to email archives by subscription (topic) from relevant pages of your website.

Designating mandatory message recipients

September 2024

Instead of designating emails as mandatory, individual contacts in your account are now marked as mandatory content recipients. This update:

  • Enables you to track consent to sending mandatory and opt-in messages separately for each contact in your account.

  • Reduces administrative workload by removing a step from the sending process.

  • Builds trust with stakeholders through transparent communication.

  • Prevents accidental emails sent to the wrong recipients, improving service for all

Email recipient selection combining subscriptions and tags

September 2024

This change makes it possible to select recipients based on subscriptions and tags in a single step without having to create a custom segment. It also improves subscriptions by emphasizing email sending to subscriptions so contacts keep in control of the optional information they choose to receive.

Test message notes

July 2024

You can now add a custom note to test emails that shows up only for test email recipients but not in the final email sent to your contacts.

Universal contact list integration using CSV files

May 2024

The CSV list sync option automatically deletes contacts from your account that aren't on the latest import file.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

April 2024

You can now login to Envoke using Single Sign-On. SSO currently works with Microsoft Entra ID, formerly known as Azure Active Directory.

Recipients can request removal from mandatory messages

March 2024

Mandatory content recipients now have an option to request removal from mandatory messages. For example they moved, retired, an incorrect email address is used, etc.

This is not a self-serve unsubscribe โ€” requests must be approved by an admin user.

This option is designed to encourage contacts to communicate their issues to you rather than marking emails as spam.

Select multiple tags when selecting email recipients

February 2024

You can now select multiple tags to send emails to directly from the recipients tab without having to navigate away to create a custom segment first

Information and settings displayed on the email preference page

January 2024

The email preferences page now shows different information and options depending on the type of message it's accessed from by clicking the review email settings or similar link from the footer of emails.

When the email preferences page is accessed from a mandatory message it no longer shows optional subscriptions and consent settings because these settings are only relevant to opt-in message recipients. Instead, the page shows the reason why a mandatory message was sent (this is provided when the mandatory email is sent in the email editor) and an option to request removal from mandatory content.

When the email preferences page is accessed from a standard, opt-in message, a reference to mandatory content is no longer shown.

Request to be removed from mandatory messages

January 2024

Mandatory message recipients now have an option to request removal from mandatory content.

Administrator users from your account receive an email notification of these requests and can decide to approve or reject them.

Contacts will not be able to opt out without your approval.
